From backyard dreams to mobile taps. We started Something Simple Tap to bring premium aesthetic vibes and neighborly charm to event venues across El Dorado and Placer Counties.
Rooted in Simple Joys
In Loomis at Del Oro high school, one of Stephanie's very first jobs was working in a shaved ice trailer at local events—baseball games, back‑to‑school nights, football games. She absolutely loved being rooted in my community and serving simple treats that made people smile. Tommy grew up in a small town too, Chico, where everyone knew everyone and community was everything.
That same love for community is what inspired Something Simple Tap. We created our vintage mobile tap trailer to help make celebrations a little more special. From weddings and baby showers to corporate events and festivals, we're honored to be a small part of the moments that bring people together—one pour at a time.
Fast‑forward to our own wedding—a beautiful rustic backyard celebration. If we had known about mobile bars back then, we would have absolutely had one at ours. Instead, we learned how to stretch our budget, DIY the details, and still turn a simple backyard into an immersive, rustic experience. Looking back, we kept saying, “We wish we’d had an option like a mobile bar.” That wish slowly turned into an idea, and that idea became Something Simple Tap.
Our plan is to keep things flexible and budget‑friendly while still feeling special. We’re building packages that range from completely self‑serve—where we drop the trailer, you buy the alcohol, mix, and serve your own drinks—all the way to full‑service, where we bring servers, drinkware, and decor. We’re here for all event types and all drink types, whether alcohol is included or not. However you like to celebrate, we want to help you make it feel simple, beautiful, and rooted in your people.
